Ten Days in a Mad-House

Undercover in  New-York City, Nellie Bly feigned insanity in order to gain admission to the notorious Women's Lunatic Asylum on Blackwell's Island. Bly spent ten days recording the widespread abuse and neglect she witnessed, producing invaluable reporting that would lead to important reforms at the institution.
